Extremely eHealthy
the Pill And Hormone Level Test
Hi!
First,to answer your question-yes,the pill will give a false pos or neg result to check hormone levels. You must remind your doc you are on oral contraceptives(even if the same doc put you on them!!!)i went through a
period 3 years ago when I swore to god I just had to be going through menopause(severe hot flashes, couldn't sleep, very moody)i made an appointment with my gyn and he assured me that this was virtually impossible because I was on the pill.Iwas not totally convinced and still have hot flashes and sleeplessness.I just turned 40 and my mom said she started having symptoms at 35.So-have your levels checked-but don't be satisfied if levels come back "within normal limits".Normal for whom??Not everyone falls in the norm.Trust your body-if you need to- seek another opinion.Good luck!!
