Q: Advice on ringworm treatment

Hey,

I’ve been diagnosed with ringworm by my doctor, I’ve had it for over 4 months now, I’ve tried two different anti fungal creams and it hasn’t cleared up. It’s just got worse whilst using the cream and it is quite extensive around my groin. My doctor has since prescribed me with Terbinafine tablets (1-a-day 250mg).

I’ve been taken them about a week and I haven’t noticed any change, except it’s slightly flakier than normal. Is this a sign of getting better? Or is it just a coincidence?

Any advice would be appreciated, this is ruining me, I hate going out and I worry ever time I touch my face I’ll spread it to there.

My main questions are, will this definitely clear it up? How long will it take? And what does ringworm look like when its healing?

Thank you,
