Q: Schedule.

I've been reading the sleep lady book and have been working on Bella's schedule.
She's doing excellent! I have such a great kid, she's already pretty much got it down.
My only thing is that the book stresses that a child should not be dependant on feedings, or anything else for that matter as a crutch to put them to sleep.

Bella goes down about 8:30 at night but almost always wakes up between 11-12 , and I give her a bottle and she goes back to bed.

I don't think she needs it to sleep, i know my baby, and she's a BIG girl , she likes to eat ...

Do you think it would be okay if i continued with that or should i weed out feedings through the night all together?

i can't quite remember how old she is... 7 months?

have you tried just rocking her back to sleep without a bottle? you're right that she doesn't need it, it's just become a habit. does she get a bottle before bed?

finn got a bottle right before bed up until almost 13 months. if he woke up at night (which was rare, so it's not the same as your situation) i would just rock him back to sleep.

I don't really know...lol...BUT I have heard other ladies say that if you give her a bottle of water that she won't expect milk, therefore not wake up because it isn't as yummy...I could be totally wrong though....

I am glad that Bella is such a wonderful baby!!! yes

I have the same problem with Kaylee (who is also 7 months). Does she take a pacifier? Sometimes I give her a binky and she goes back to sleep. Other times I rock her. But other times all she wants is a bottle and it's the only way to get her to go back to sleep. Let me know if you figure out something that works!

Honestly I think if its not a problem for you I dont think its an issue.

Your Bella's mummy, you know her best!:)If she needs another feed and your happy for her to have it then I dont see anything wrong with it!

Yea it doesn't really bother me, but i don't want her to completely rely on it every night.

She'll go down sometiems if I rock her and pat her bum..
sometimes it just hypes her up!
And she'll only take a binky every now and then , she's a total thumbsucker!

I really cannot complain though, she's a pretty easy kid!
