Q: Testicle pain
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 1st, 2008
I spend a lot of my time at work sat down and last week I sat down quickly and trapped my left testicle which, as you would expect, was very painful.
The pain susbsided within a few hours and all was forgotten..
Now I have started to notice an uncomfortable pain behind my left testicle and, if I tense the muscles, it hurts as down the space just below and to the left of by stomach, which I believe is typical with groin strain?
I have checked for any lumps, bumps etc and nothing is there and it is a sporadic pain, often vanishes for hours but then can return for hours again.
Any suggestions as getting time off work to visit the doctors is a nightmare where I work

Testicles Answer A3595
The testicles are very sensitive organs because there are a lot of sensitive nerves located in this area of the body. This is why any pressure on the testicles is very painful. In your case, it seems that the pain has persisted for longer than a week, which could indicate some more severe damage like a small contusion or internal bleeding. You need a physical examination and ultrasound scan for a correct diagnosis, so you can consult a urologist ASAP.
