I noticed this afternoon that my son had some 'gunk' in the corner of his eye,I'm not sure what everybody calls it but it's that gross stuff in the corners of your eyes when you wake up.
Anyways,I noticed he had quite a bit of it so I grabbed a q-tip and cleaned it out for him,but it won't go away,it just keeps piling up in his eye and now his eye is all red.
I was looking online for information on pink eye but according to some of the diagrams in order for it to be pink eye his eyeball has to be red or pinkish, but it's his eyelid that is a bit red, which is probably from rubbing.
I booked an appointment at the doctor for him tomorrow,so glad I GOT an appointment,it's always booked up for at least a month. So I'm hoping his doctor will be able to tell me more.
I hate when he's sick,it always makes me feel bad.It makes me feel like if I had just wiped the door handle one more time,or disinfected something just one more time he wouldn't have gotten sick.I know that kids get sick and that it's normal but I just hate to see it.I feel so guilty!
Thanks for listening,I had to get that off my chest.

I live in a town were there are only 2 main pediatricians. There is one that is fairly new but she just had a baby so getting an appointment with her is really hard to manage.
The town I live in people are constantly taking their children to the doctor for a sniffle,I am not a big fan of doctors so I tend to stay away.I had a bad experience with a needle happy doctor when I was 6 years old,I had a lump on my arm that needed to be cut open and I've stayed as far away from doctors as I can since.
Anyways,I really hope it isn't pink eye.I've been doing some reading and it says that pink eye is treated by eye drops which will be a pain in the butt to administer!
