I am a little afraid to go to the doctor because I am scared of the results, but maybe one of yall has a suggestion as to what to do. I am currently on the patch as my form of B.C. and I took it off on Monday and was expecting my period today. Instead I got this blackish discharge. This is my first time using the patch. And I have within the past week heard real bad things about it. Is this a side effect of the patch? A dark-brown almost black discharge?

how heavy is the discharge? and how long have you been on the patch? if you just started within the past couple months your body is probably just adjusting. BC can do strange things to your body, so i wouldn't worry too much about it. but if you're concerned you can always take a hpt
