Yes another question due to hysterectomy. Uterus and cervix removed abdominally close to 5mths ago. Can the length of the vagina be stretched with dilators? How can it penetrate thru stitched wall? Has anyone used dilators and what was the result? Sex hurts, like he's hitting a brick wall!!

Have you spoken to your gynecologist about this?

Yes, he suggested the dilators but penetration isn't the problem. Not right now anyway. I did order the dilators and e-mailed the company to the problem and they said yes it can be done, but to speak to my MD. Right now however, I think I'm getting ready to find a new OBG doctor. I really don't like this doctor. I don't trust him. During my last examine (have been a number of times due to various problems) I specifically asked if there was a chance I could have cyctocele and or rectocele. (Have had increased contstipation) and he said he didn't see anything but when I went to my primary MD this wk the report he sent him said that I had both. What's up with that? I don't know whether to call him on this or just go to another MD.

Sherrie Lee are you taking calcium? If so, is it calcium with magnese? I had constipation until I stopped taking my calcium w/ vit D and I am trying to find calcium with Magnese and vit D.

Calcium and magnesium
I take a multi-vitamin that has calcium and I have found that calcium does constipate me. My primary MD just sent me for blood work to check my calcium level due to it being low from the hysty surgery. Yet another thing my obg MD neglected to tell me. Does the magnesium and vitamin D help with the constipation? I'm always so afraid that I may be taking to much since taking a multi. Guess I need to wait for my blood work to come back first though.
