Vaginal infections pelvic pain

Well Sad

I had a UTI around 3 months ago and ever since then I have been having various different problems. Pelvic pain, vaginal infections, lots of anti biotics, the need to pee when I don't have to or peeing a lot when I really shouldnt have to. Right now I have an incomfortable feeling in my clitoris and the entry to my vagina is very sensitive. The pelvic pain has ceased, but my vaginal area is just very uncomfortable. The gynocologist says everything seems normal, but I can tell that it definatley is not. Could this be weird hormones? Swollen Clitoris? Bladder trouble affecting other parts? I DONT KNOW! Please help me because I feel like I will never feel like myself again. It's a new bad feeling every day around there and I know it's all connected.

Right now i just wish the lower have of me didnt exist. which is a strange thought really, but I just want to feel comfortable again.

oh and not an S.T.D because I got tested. thank the lord.

So please please PLEASE help. I AM SO FRUSTRATED and I just need some advice/opinions/encouragement.

well i can't say i've had the exact same thing... but i had a UTI about 6 weeks ago, and ever since i've also been experiencing vaginal discomfort, and very painful sexual intercourse. all other UTI symptoms have gone away, but i can't figure out what it is, and i was even tested for a UTI and it came out clean. it's really frustrating... so yea, sorry i can't offer any advice but i understand what you're going through... i just want it all to go away, and i'm getting extremely frustrated that they don't know what's wrong

I am not an expert but I have a couple of suggestions for you ladies.
First, some women experience increased vaginal sensitivity after a UTI. When washing be very careful of the type and amount of soap. Glycerin soap is very mild so perhaps that would be a good choice for now.

Using antibiotics causes the normal bacterial flora of the vagina to be thrown off. Yeast will grow out of control and can cause further irritation. You can try taking acidophilus capsules. This will put the normal flora back into your body. I have used the capsules like a vaginal suppository and inserted one directly into the vagina. The gelatin cap. will dissolve with your body heat. You can use an acidophilus powder and mix with water and use like a douche. Open up some of the caps and put in water and douche.

Cranberry can and will change the pH of the body. This will inhibit the growth of yeast and bacteria that can cause a UTI. Try to get cranberry juice with little or no added sugar. It is very dry. You can mix with apple jc. or find a brand that does not add a lot of sugar. Drink several times a day for a while.

Your partner can be a carrier for some bacteria. It won't effect him but for us girls it can lead to repeated infections and pain. Men can carry yeast as well. He would have to go to the doctor and get swabbed for this.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

The best advice I have is that you do seem to be healing. You said you had pain, and now you don't. So maybe you're just taking a really long time to recover.

thanks a lot everyone,

well, i think part of the problem is the lack of natural good bacteria because i have taken a ridiculous amt of antibiotics and actually inserted a incredibly strong oral antibiotic into my vagina around 2 months ago due to language miscommunication(i was in panama). So that was helpful about the things i can take to boost that. I am in mexico now so ill see if they have it here.

im not pregant. I took a test. Again, thank the lord.

Anyway, im not sure if im getting better because its more like a cycle. I get an infection, infectious symptoms go away and im left with pain, pain goes away and i have an infection. so strange. anyway, im going to keep on trying different things and im going to look into your suggestions.

I just think everything below my stomach is thrown off and is having trouble getting back on track. It's especially hard being in a new enviroment i think.

im still open for more advice.

For some women, antibiotics to treat a UTI (or for anything) can cause yeast infections, so if you had a really strong antibiotic insert than that seems like it might be possible. Otherwise I'd make sure that your UTI was treated successfully (get another test?) because it can develop into a kidney infection, which would be bad.

Or perhaps you're just healing? I agree, cranberry and lots of water might help. Definitely don't have unprotected sex until you're healed and back to normal, though, because you could pass it between you and your partner.

I have had countless UTIs over the years. I would recommend to stop having sex until everything clears up, so there's no foreign bacteria. Don't discount antibiotics. I once had a very mild UTI that I ignored, which turned into a kidney infection, and I have never been sicker in my life. If you leave a UTI untreated, it will spread to your kidneys, which will give you unbearable pain, believe me. Ever since the kidney infection, I've been very careful about bacteria. Peeing before and after sex clears the bacteria away, and I haven't had any problems. If you're experiencing problems, sex is only going to make things worse, and you could give it to him.

I have recurrent yeast infections myself. Once a month for the past ohh 8 years. Along with this I get the feeling like I'm about to get a bladder infection. I suggest lots of yogurt and/or a probiotic to replenish the good flora in you intestines. Also to help balance things out in your vagina you can insert either one there. This helps tremendiuosly! I tried it out of desperation about 2 months ago and it worked amazingly.
Aldo I'm def. not an expert but i found out about a condition called Vulodynia (sp?). Women with this experience vaginal pain/ extreme discomfort with no outer signs. They go to the doc and are sent home still in pain and told nothings wrong with them. It's fairly new and most docs still don't know much about it. Try doing some research and go to the "Vuvlar Pain Foundation" website. Its very informative. Good luck and hope some of this helps.

Well, my problem might be a little different, I will try to describe it the best way I can feel it! I can not stop masterbating, I have to masterbate to relieve the tingling, pressure i keep feeling!!! I have been feeling like this for two weeks now, it come and goes, but when this feeling comes, it stays for awhile, at first I just thought it was pressure coming from my bladder, but, I have gone to the bathroom and nothing! It could be a pleasurable feeling, but, it has gotten to a point, where it is driving me crazy, I just feel super horny all the time, throughtout the day, driving, watching TV, even at work, now thats bad! My clit, just seems like its tingling and will not stop! I cant even sleep! This is the first I've ever had anything like this to happen! I think I will call my doctor, it doesnt feel like I'm trying to get a Bladder Infection or UTI , IT MAKES ME FEEL SUPER HORNY ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT, WHEN I FINALLY DO FALL ASLEEP!! IT WONT SHUT OFF, (MY CLIT WITH NOT STOP VIBRATING).... ANY LADIES OUT THERE EVER HAD THIS EXPERIENCE.....??

How old are you? You sound like you're already well past puberty, but maybe menopause? I really have no idea.

Use a probiotic. It sounds like you have a yeast infection. The above post by Fantastic says to insert a capsule vaginally. This is certainly acceptable and I would suggest you try it. I have done this to get rid of yeast infections. It puts the normal bacteria back into the vagina directly and this gets the yeast under control. You can also open up a capsule and put the powder in a little water and use it as a wash or douche. Take the probiotic orally everyday. It will help.

Go back to your doctor, and talk to you parents or school counselor or something, and get in to see a psychologist or therapist.

PM me if you need to talk!
