Q: Spotting dark brown blood while taking birth control pills

I have seen my menstrual already for this month which is January. I'm taking birth control pills. I'm on my 2nd week pills which are the light blue (orthra ty cyclen). I spotting dark brown blood. What can be the problem.

It's normal to have spotting in between periods on the pill. How long have you been on Ortho Tri Cyclen? It should clear up soon and I am sure that after your body is fully adjusted to your birth control it wont happen as much if at all. I had spotting inbetween periods only ONCE and that was on a generic pill called Cyclessa D;. Yaz hasn't caused that side-effect yet tho.

i am on 'Dianett' as this cleared up the achne i got from microgenon 360- i have been on 'Dianett since jan, its now may.. & today i notice spotting for the first time.. how comes ive never had it before & is there any problems?!
