Crying or Very sad
i was diagnosed with a kidney infection almost 3 weeks ago. I started taking an antibiotic. 8 days after that I started having burning pain in my right kidney that would become intense and then dull. It came almost every time I ate or drank and lasted about 3-5 minutes each episode. That lasted for 3 days until the final episode which was the intense pain that sent me to the er. I was diagnosed with a 5mm stone in the ureter. I took pain medication for the next couple of days and saw a urologist and he confirmed with another x-ray the stone was there and the size. After 3 days the stone did not pass that I ever saw when I strained, but I stopped taking pain medication and had no pain until 2 more days in which I once again had the intense pain and the thick urine and the blood. I started taking pain medication again. This time I also had vomiting. I have still not seen a stone pass, but I stopped taking my pain medication now for 2 days and am only having periodic dull pain on that side, frequent urination which seems clear and now a dull pain with a little burning on my left side. My question is do I still have the stone? Could it be in the bladder? How long could it stay there? I know I need another c-scan or x-ray to know, but I cannot get an appointment with the doctor for 3 more days. The intense pain is gone as is the vomiting. I just have periodic dull pain. Would the pain still be the intense, gut wrenching pain if it were still in the ureter?

Thanks for any help!
