did you gradually go vegetarian?
like maybe only eating a little chicken or turkey to get a little protein and then wean off it? Some doctors suggest to do that is people have low iron or something like that, my best friend did that for a while.

You’re absolutely right. Not a good idea when you’re pregnant at all. I started with one fruit meal a day, but I still had coffee, bread, pasta, chocolate, sodas and such the rest of the day.
It was approximately at that time that my health just gave in. I was diagnosed with MS, my face, chest, back, upper arms and thighs were covered with acne, I had little blisters on my hands and feet that itched like crazy, and no energy whatsoever. Brushing my hair reduced me to tears, because it took too much effort.
I then changed my diet to raw food only.

Krystine, I cannot verbally describe to you how sick it made me. And to tell you the truth: I think the fact that I have weak kidneys have a lot to do with the detox. It was probably a toxin overload that damaged them. Even if I go to a restaurant today and ordered a salad that the chef put salt on, my hands and feet would swell so badly that I have to take my rings off.
.I had severe headaches, nausea, my head was foggy, and I could hardly breath - my body ached so much. I assume that the body aches was from the aspartame poisoning, because after the detox - poof - gone is the ‘MS’.

wow thats terrible, was that because you switched your diet and had not very much protein in your body? Im not sure what foods have things in it that help kidneys, not antioxotains like pomegrante blueberries raspberries i think help with that too..you probably know more about that than me, i drink a lot of pomegrante blueberry cranberry and raspberry juice becuse of the antioxotains in it.
What did your doctor tell you to do about your diet? did he/she suggest anything?

I don’t have much faith left in doctors. Not in the ones in my country at least. I lived in England for 2 years and the doctors there are always spot on with their diagnoses.
But I haven’t been to a doctor in 4, close to 5 years now. It just wasn’t necessary. My health is fine as long as I stick to my diet.
The kidney thing I presume was more a toxic overload than a protein deficiency. And I don’t consider myself an expert on nutrition. It’s just not my field of interest. True, I read up on it, but my ‘knowledge’ is based on personal experience and good old common sense.
Sorry to sound stupid, but what is ‘pomagrante’. I assume it’s a berry or something. Don’t think we have those in my country. The other berries you talk about are very expensive here because of import tax and so forth.

Thank you, Birch. I'm your biggest fan, so it's nice to think that you find my story of suffering inspirational. lol. If somebody were to ask me the old cliche question about inviting 5 people over to dinner, you would be there for sure.

to answer your question, pomegrante is a berry fruit, but to get to the fruit part, you have to cut open the outer part[almost like a coconut shell to get the milk] then theres little berries inside that you eat, they almost look like red corn pelets lol
its really yummy!! but expensive as well.

so since the berries, which are actually healthy and good for your health, are to expensive, what fruits to you buy?
And one more question, how would you know your health is perfectly fine?
Your usually supposed to go for a check up once a year..if that doctor doesnt listen and just goes by judgement, why dont you get another doctor?

Just dessspicable!
Krystine, I know what you are talking about. I had some this morning. Lol. They’re really good, and they are readily available here. Cheap as well, because they don’t have to be imported.
My weekly shopping includes things like pears, mangoes, pawpaw, melons, apples, bananas, peaches, grapes, passion fruit, strawberries, prickly pears, nuts, avo’s, watermelon, carrots, tomatoes, celery, carrots, watercress, cucumber, lettuce, mushrooms, peas etc. Whatever is in season, and looks nice. I didn’t buy any peaches last week as they looked horrible.

My dad goes for yearly checkups and the doctors failed two years in a row to notice that he had cancer. Luckily the type of cancer he had grows very slowly, so by year three they caught it. Shame. Poor thing. At least he didn’t have to go through the whole chemo thing. I guess if I want to know whether I’m in perfect health I need to book my flight to England. Doctors diagnosed me with MS which I didn’t have, and missed something like cancer in my dad. I feel fine though.

Well, Coliejo, seems like I’m going to have to beat my dad to death with a pipe if I want to inherit. Lol. If lightning strikes, he strikes back.
They gave him braggi therapy where they insert radioactive gold ‘seeds’ into the prostate. Yes, ouch. But that had the same effect as chemo, only without the nausea.
And Birch, if Johnny’s on the menu I booking a table for two. Sorry. Just don’t like you THAT much.

lol good point i guess i would want him for myself too. or maybe you can have him and I will have Keith Anderson (a country singer).

I am glad to hear your dad fighting it (and everything else, lol) that type of therapy does not sound like fun, but i guesss not having the nausea might make up for it a little bit

I don’t know how far you are into the pregnancy by you might want to keep in mind that watermelon (which you and miniKrystine seem to enjoy) is a natural durative - which means that if you battle with water retention like some woman do, watermelon will help for that.
Pawpaw is also known as ‘papaya’ if that’s any help. It’s a tropical fruit the size of a melon, but its flesh is similar to banana, and it’s orange, with lots of black pips in the centre.
