Q: Cat Scan And Pregnant

I had a cat scan done on aug 28th the doctor also did and pregnancy test the day before and it was negative. I didnt get my period like always on the 1st of the month... Today sept 12th I took a at home test and it is positive... Im pregnant. Does anyone know if the cat scan did any harm to my unborn child? Im really scared!!!

I don't think it would have done any damage, but it wouldn't hurt to tell your doctor. My husband is a radiology tech and said that it's usually ok in the beginning. I've also seen something on tv where a woman was diagnosed with cancer while she was pregnant. They did a cat scan on her while she was in the middle of the pregnancy and the baby turned out fine. I hope everything works out for you and I hope what I said made you feel a little better Smile
