All of my friends have loved it so far. I haven't seen it myself. I thought it looked incredibly stupid when I first saw the preview, but my friends have given me hope it might actually bee good.

What specifically didn't you like?

For me i didnt like the camera moving around so much, makes your head dizzy and feel sick. Thats just my opinion, My other friend however loved it. So its really up to the person that sees it.

There was a story on either the Today Show or Good Morning... can't remember.....about people going to see Cloverfield and getting physically ill as a result of the erratic camera movement. They said that it induced a vertigo like state that throws off your equal librium. Hmmm....I'll wait until its at Blockbuster!

Yes, it does that due to the one-camera perspective. If you're sensitive to such things I've been told not to see the movie in theaters.

Some people hate the camera, and others love it. It's kinda the whole PREMISE of the movie so...

I met my dad at the theatre on the weekend to see cloverfield. It was awful and ruined our whole afternoon. We both got sick, him worse than me heh And walked out before it was halfway through. Got a refund. It was awful anyway. Revovled around these few really shallow cookie cutter spoiled New York kids. And you would think anyone with an ounce of talent or sense would know that type of film makes people sick. I didnt feel sick the whole time, not at the begining it was slighty smoother then but the story and acting was so bad lol

I was worried it was going to be Blair-Witchy in that the main characters are people you WANT to see killed...

i hated it because its all camera made, and it has no ending....when it "ended" every1 was like what? thats it? how f***ing stupid. the movie isnt bad itself but the ending is just stupid. it killed the whole purpose of the movie.

the ending i think sucked the most LOL
i hate when the ending of a movie sucks

the camera shaking was awful. it made it look like one of those corny amature films.

I suppose I'm more okay with endings like that because I watch a lot of anime and it tends to do that. But also, if the movie's premise is that it is the footage from a phone picked up after the incident, then it doesn't make sense that its going to have a movie-perfect ending. Again, the camera was the other whole premise of the movie... I'm not voting for whether or not that's a good or bad thing, just saying.

i think the movie was kinda slow getting to the whole monster thing. i thought it was good overall. and the ending was wack...me and my boyfriend stayed to the end of the credits and theres a hint that theres gonna be a second one. but that doesnt explain why the ending had to be wack. i really like how the guy was so determined to save his true love though. and the camera movement it wasnt that bad. there was a warning at the box office so i was preparred to motion sickness

It's a large blobby whale squid thing. The monsters that fall off of it are actually 6 foot tall lice. Yes, lice.

It was a sea creature frightened by mining activity for oil if I recall. That one seen in the movie was a juvenile, aka just a baby! The adults are much larger according to the writers. And like I said, the "spider things" that fell of off it are giant version of whale lice.

The reason people exploded after bitten is because the venom in the lice causes your bone marrow to over produce red blood cells, so eventually you burst because there is too much blood inside of you.

i hadn't even heard of the film til a couple of days ago so i didnt go in with any particular expectations. but i enjoyed it. and trust me i am NOT the sort of person who likes movies about big monsters running around destroying buildings and eating people!!!

i liked the way it was filmed amateurly and not slickly. i thought all the acting was really good and convincing. i liked the way it was dark and the camera jerked and buildings got in the way so you never really got much more than glimpses of the monster, it left more to the imagination. except that bit where the guy with the camera has it standing right above him looking at him. that was rubbish, but otherwise i am surprised to say i liked it!!

saw no country for old men the other day too, that was nothing short of fantastic!!
