Q: Breast Reduction Surgery -- Hypersensitivity

I had a breast reduction two weeks ago and appear to be experiencing "hypersensitivity." the very top areas of my breast and the very bottom feel as if they are extremely sunburnt -- that is, in the sense that anything (even a hair) touching them is uncomfortable, if not down-right painful. There is no discoloration of the skin itself, only extreme sensitivity. How common is this, how long will it last, what causes it, and what can I do to relieve it?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi I had the same thing done a long time ago. What you are feeling is normal and lasts for a long time. The sensitivity does diminish but not completely. I had it done about 7 years ago and still feel very sensitive on the top of my right breast. You get use to it after about 4 months. Negra
