Well, I'm honestly not sure about all of this so i'll tell you all I know.
When I was younger (3-7) I would somtimes hollusinate (see things move without touching them or images that weren't there), One I clearly remember was turning around and seeing a wolf come jumping at me. Another was seeing a picture of my dad and his face started to shift. I would also often and it is still happening now, hear my name being called to me, without anybody around. I could be completly silent, and hear "keith" whispered in my ear, and it makes my heart jump. When I was twelve psychiatrists beleived I could have epilepsy, but I never told anyone about this till recently. And I was told by sombody that it sounds like i'm schizophrenic and it's really confusing. Also at times everything feels as if i'm dreaming, and I am usually nocturnal, or getting 2 or 3 hourse of sleep a night. My question is what does this sound like??
Hallucinations can be one of the symptoms of some types of schizophrenia or can also point to epilepsy. But it's not clear in your case whether you've experienced hallucinations or if you are just dealing with your imagination. In cases of schizophrenia, a person believes that images or voices are real. According to your description, it seems that you are aware that those voices and images are not real.
Some types of epilepsy, on the other hand, manifest with hallucinations. Epilepsy can be confirmed with an EEG. You can consult both a neurologist and a psychiatrist about your condition and seek a diagnosis.
