Q: Sore Throat and HIV positive

I am HIV but am not yet on ARV`s. I have had a very painful throat for some months now and have consulted my doctor and a throat specialist. Neither can find any physical reason in my throat to cause the pain. Can any one help with experience of a similar condition?
