Mucus discharge from anus on colostomy patient Posted: 01-28-08 11:50am


My Father-in-law is in his seventies, and has had a colostomy for just about 2 months now. Recently, he has been getting a clear mucus discharge from his anus, mostly in the A.M. He has also been complaining of back pain. He has no other problems or pains. Is anyone familiar with these types of symptoms? Are they related or separate issues?
