I've been a smoker for about 5 years.. and I've smoked the same cigarettes for at least 2 1/2 of those five years. Almost 2 weeks ago (the 17th) which was 1 week after my last period ended I lit my usual morning drive cigarette, only to be disgusted by the taste. Any cigarette I've tried since then has tasted the same, and now I get nauseous (sp?) whenever anyone is smoking around me. I have taken 3 tests over the last 2 weeks, all negative. So I just credited the cigarettes to my taste buds changing naturally -- I mean hey, I quit smoking, and all the tests came up negative -- so what's the problem, right? well.. here comes some personal info.. I lost my virginity almost 4 years ago.. and have been having sex regularly since then. (only been 2 different partners) I have NEVER in those 4 years orgasmed from or during sex.. until 2-3 days ago (friday night, the 25th) and now it's happened almost every time my partner and I have had sex since then. I'm going to continue taking 1 test a week for the next 3 weeks.

Also, out of the three tests I took, none of them were in the morning, so maybe did that make a difference, or if I am, woult it be too early to tell? but I did get my period this month.. so If I concieved after my period, would I even be having symptoms within the first 2-3 weeks?

I guess I'm just asking if anyone noticed a difference in there sex life early in a pregnancy, or if anyone knows why I all of a sudden am disgusted by cigarettes?

other than that I haven't really had any other symptoms -- I've been getting heartburn more often.. but my breasts aren't sore, I only am nauseous when some one is smoking around me, I did actually have some spotting 4 or 5 days ago though.. only for 1 day

so I think this is long enough, opinions please?

Just a quick response to you. I had your exact symtoms many years ago when I was pregnant. I had just had my cycle two weeks prior when I could not stand smells, or the thought of coffee that I loved and looked forward to every morning. I also had the other symtoms you mentioned. I decided to take a pregnancy test at that time. I had been pregnant before so I knew the changes in my body when I was pregnant. My test results were negative. Then two weeks later I had spotting for one day as well and figured I must not be pregnant. Two weeks later because I still felt like I was pregnant, I did another test and it was possitive. Incidently my breasts never did get soar with any pregnancy until I started nursing after the birth of my child. Another unusual event I had with my third pregnancy was that I had periods for the first four months of my pregnancy. I did have that baby early with some complications and she was on an apnea monitor for six months. To this day she is a very beautiful healthy girl. You could go to OBGYN and get a blood test to see if you are pregnant, in my experience I believe that they are more accurate. Hope this sheds some light for you.

Wishes....
This is what I just read on the internet: (If you're pregnant, a blood test can usually detect it seven to 10 days after conception, which is defined as the moment when the sperm attaches to the egg. Home tests may take up to four days longer to detect a pregnancy). But I am sure as you know every women is different, and I have heard of women, like my daughter for example, having negative tests for much longer than what is considered the normal. Either way, it sounds like a good thing has happened for you anyway, you say you no longer want to smoke and you are now having orgasms....maybe it's a miracle LOL. Just a little humor, I wish you all the best with what ever your wishes are!
