Stomach, arm, and leg pain on right side. Posted: 01-26-08 17:03pm
I'm a 14 year old female who has been
perfectly healthy for most of my life up
until the last few months. The 26th of
November in 2007 I had to get my appendix
removed and while they were doing that
they found a ruptured cyst on my ovary
that they decided to cauterize. Now it
being the last week of January and
everything was fun. That was until about 2
weeks ago I had excruciating pain on my
right side again. So after about 2 hours
my mom took me to the ER. In about 2 hours
though, I had urinated about 12 times. The
doctor's said it was probably a pulled
mucsle and didn't really look into it. I
was given a shot in my right thigh and a
shot in my arm. One which being a
painkiller and the other a muscle relaxer.
It did absolutely and I mean ABSOLUTELY
nothing for me, I returned to the ER the
following night. I could barely eat, it
made me feel so sick. So that night they
gave me a cat scan of my lower abdomen.
Nothing showed up what so ever. So again,
I was sent home with a prescription it was
600 mg of Ibuprofen. Nothing was helping
and for 2 days I was peeing maybe 13-15
times a day. However, for the next
following three days I could barely use
the bathroom at all. Maybe once a day and
very little amounts. I was taken to my
family doctor and he suggested Naproxen
Sodium, another prescription. I wasn't
taken the ibuprofen anymore. I gave that
up after about 3 days. I stopped taking
the Naproxen sodium after about 2 days
because it made my heart feel like it was
going to pop out of my chest and it did
nothing for my pain. Now the pain has
progressed into my right arm and my right
leg. Sometimes it's kind of like a pens
and needles feel other times it's like a
really bad throb. Sometimes really bad
headaches. But my family doctor also
suggested a ginacologist and a ultra sound
both couldn't find anything. So now I'm
supposed to try birth control for three
months and if that does nothing for me I
have to go see a colon doctor. Okay, so
what I want to know is why my arm and leg
are hurting and all that's being checked
out is my stomach? I'm not sure but could
it being anxiety? My boyfriend was
diagnosed with cancer about 4 months ago
in his spine. It's stressfull sometimes
but nothing HORRIBLE, I'm usually positive
so I don't think it would be that. Who
knows though. But the only thing left is
the birth control and the colon doctor.
I'm not sexually active, never have been.
I do not smoke, drink or do drugs.
Any advice from anybody? It gets worst at
night, progresses around 10 p.m.
