Well the report probably didnt tell the circumstances of the wreck... was it raining? snowing? And if HIS car was split into two pieces it really makes me think that it wasn't his fault... especially if the pieces landed 80ft apart... To t-bone someone and have their car in 2 pieces 80 ft apart means they were going pretty damn fast...
So even if this story is true and it was the drivers fault then this is what i can conclude.

Deaths caused by Marijuana a year = 1
Deaths caused by alcohol a year = 300,000+

Sorry but im convinced that your story is
A. Bullcrap
B. an exaggeration
Or C. We dont have all the facts.

And where i live, you can get pulled over on LSD and even if the officer knows it they can't do a thing about it unless you posses the drug on your body. So until its illegal to drive when under the influence of marijuana i'll keep doing it... i have been driving high for about 4 yrs and have not been in a wreck... i haven't even come close.

I haven't ever even had a ticket. I think you are right, the story smacks of propaganda B.S. even if it wasn't made up by the person who posted it...it just doesn't ring true.

Driving is dangerous period, and accidents do happen. What if smoking pot was not the main cause of the accident? People do have just.. accidents. I don't care what studies say, there is a huge difference between smoking and drinking while driving. You will not know, until you have experianced both.

Cell phones, heavy affection from a lover, finding the right CD, or a spider on your arm can all raise your risk of an accident.

I am being biased here, but only because I have experianced both in my early years. Driving while drunk is scary, once you realize it. I have to say that your chances of an accident are very high. Driving while high, has a very low risk compared to being drunk, or even buzzed on alcohol.

I would never suggest doing either thing while driving. I don't even answer my cell anymore.

Death due to smoking pot and driving?! And this doesn't apply to alcohol either?

You shouldn't drive high on, or under the influence of ANYTHING full stop.
The same goes for many legal drugs and medications.

I'd just like to ask how many people die a year from drinking and driving. You'll find it is considerably more than deaths linked to MJ.
If they are going to make it illegal because people drive under the influence then they should make alcohol illegal too because far more people have died from drink driving. People should not drive under the influence of alcohol for exactly the same reasons.
MJ is not any more dangerous just for being illegal.
