shaving caused itchyness
Posted: 01-25-08 22:05pm

so I shaved yesterday,and today...it was itching....
it feels like something sharp poking[[at the area where there's pubic hair]]
like i feel uncomfortable when I sit down...even if I wear jeans....
is because I shave with a razor??????
but which is better....shaving with a razor????
or using nair?

That is razor burn. Nair won't cause razor burn.

yes nair works great. I've used it before. Now I don't completely shave anymore i just trim it down because my skin gets to irriatated.

umm when I was using it (a few years back) i wasn't aware if there was and I'm not aware if there is any out right now. Just don't get it in your vagina.

To help alleviate the itching you've got going on, you can try applying a dab of 1 %hydrocortisone cream to the area, just make sure not to get it in your vagina. When you are looking for Nair, see if they have a sesitive formula which maybe better for down there. If you don't like Nair then I would reccommend waxing.

I used to shave and quit because of the discomfort and skin tags it caused. I trim like love_pinkish now, my husband doesn't mind that it's not smooth (not that it stays very smooth for very long when you shave anyway.)
I had a boyfriend tell me that it's sexier when there's hair there instead of being shaved. He said it made me more womanly. I don't think most guys care too much, and it's easier upkeep to just trim instead of shaving. I've never tried Nair, but that stuff is too strong for my skin anyways.

Be very careful with nair! Once while I was waiting for it to work, I sat down or something and a little got in me. Holy crap, worst.pain.ever.
When I shave, I use a hypoallergenic lotion like aquaphor or cetaphil to get rid of the itchies. It works pretty well.

I trim. I think it's sexier than stubble Wink And a lot more comfortable.

A good tip after the first time you shave with whatever you want then if you decide to shave the second day try shaving it with conditioner! It will keep the stubble away!

i shaved for ages n never got razor burn but did get shaving rash not very attractive. tried getting it waxed thought it would really hurt but it wasnt too bad n it lasts a lot longer. plus get a smoother finish n wen the hair grows back its less coarse!
