I am 11 week pregnant with twins and suddenly last 2-3 days I developed acute pain in left side of my throat.First it was mild , but now its kind of pinching pain, cant swallow food........the pain gets acute at night , cant sleep more than 2 hrs a day....
I am doing gargle with warm water and salt, but its not helping.Yday I used lemon, honey and water but it seemed to make it worse......
I dont want to take medications, tomorrow I wll go to Dr........
is there any way I can get rid of this????.....pls help
thanks

Sounds like acid reflux or GERD. Talk to your doctor about getting a medication for this, such as nexium or prilosec, which are really quite safe and will help you feel MUCH better.

I would recommend a low acid diet, but sometimes it doesn't matter what you eat...you will have the problems anyways.

Or maybe tonsils? Have you had them removed?

swollen throat and can't swallow
hmmm when i came across this post i wonder if my doctor misdiagnosed me, a few days ago my daughter became ill with a runny nose and a little cough, then my throat swelled up and i couldnt swallow, becasue i am in mexico right now the paranoya of swine flu automatically entered my mind so i went to the doctor n she said i had an infection on the left side ofmy throat and gave 3 different tpyes of medicines to take, when i got home i felt weird when i looked at the back of the box n i t said not take if u r pregnat so for piece of mind i went ot the local drugsotre boght a 6.00 test and guess what it was positive, im glad i didnt take the medication she gave me, but i've also had very bad lower back pain for a couple of weeks and am worried that all of these r signs of a miscarriage, anywho have some answers? Tommorrow i have another appointment with her to have a blood test done to make sure i am pregnat.

You can have lower back pain for a great number of reasons besides pregnancy. You can also feel a little fatigued in the beginning of a pregnancy, and especially with the sickness you've had and the traveling, it could be completely unrelated to your pregnancy. I wish you the best!
