i laways take my pills everyday at the same time. ill be starting my third pack tommorrow. last month i got my period three days before my white pills and it lasted until the second day of my next pack and this month all that happened was i bled for a day three days before my white pills. so my question is this- was that my period? seriously, im not kidding, ive cramped a little, but is this just the way this pill works or do i need to take a test to find out for sure?

Yaz can cause odd periods, and spotting - bleeding when not on the placebo week - is pretty common on the pills. You're protected so don't worry!

thanks alot
i was on yasmin for two years prior to the yaz- this never happened, so it kinda freaked me out a little. i went ahead and took a home pregnancy test just to gain some peace of mind. now that i know this is normal for yaz, it doesnt bother me anymore. i just wonder if next months period is going to be super heavy because i technically didnt have one this month.but, thanks for your help, im so glad that there are sites like this.

No, it's not because the pills thin the lining of your uterus. Light periods are the normal thing.
