even if it was a camera trick, you could only get so much illusion from her leaning back and the dog in the foreground... especially since she is sitting next to the dog....

There are some shadows on her leg from the dog, but the right side of the dog right below his ear looks funny. It doesn't look like that is really the dogs back. Looks like a bit of photoshoping if you ask me. But I don't doubt the dog is big, those dogs get huge.
