Q: cervix at 20 weeks?

How is your cervix suppose to be at 20 weeks. my dr said that mine is short from the US that I had done on monday. Does anyone know the answer to this? I got to my reg OB this next Mon for another US and to get the big US done then. Any thoughts would be great.

I am 20 weeks the baby weighs right at 10 oz. I have also only gained 5 pounds do to being so sick.

was it a transvaginal ultrasound? Idont understand what they ment by that. I was told I have a long uterus but dont know about the cervix being short.

no it was on my belly. i started going into labor with my son at 25 weeks when i was prego with him so it worrys me now. I know I have a chance of going into labor early with this one also. All they said is my cervix is short and my uterus is heart shaped so I also have a chance of having a breech birth.

interesting, ive never heard of having a heart shaped uterus and being able to see the cervix during an ultrasound. Im sure if it was something serious they would have elaborated.
