About 6 weeks post-partum with my third child, I started experiencing numbness in my left back. A couple of months later it moved to my full left side. I had a normal MRI for my spine. A head MRI with contrast showed a small lesion. Then the numbness moved from the left to the right side. I had a lumber puncture thinking that it was MS or Lupus. They came back neg. so did westnile, and a bunch of other blood tests. I repeated the brain MRI with contrast and no other spots have show up and the one small lesion is a little smaller. I had an ECO with bubble contrast and they found a small shunt- PFO. My neurologist said that the PFO couldn't cause months of numbness. I am still numb on the rightside and now the spot on my left back is numb again. This has been going on for 8 months. I am stressed. I wish someone had some suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
