Heavy blood with bowel movement? Posted: 01-23-08 14:26pm
everytime i have a bowel movement some
blood comes out along with pain. Ive had
the pains for a while, but the blood
started gradual at first! well, today the
blood was extremely heavy and it scared me
really bad! I've heard it could be a
hemorrhoid, but wouldn't i have some other
symptoms? i'm not sure how it all works,
so i need to know whats going on with my
body! please help!

Well, start by telling us if it is bright
or dark blood. Also, is it mucousy, thin
or clot-like?

Sounds like an anal fissure or 'piles' -
they say the brighter it is, the less
there is to worry about as it means it is
pretty local (ie not nvolving your
digestive processes further up.)
Anal fissure or otherwise, you still need
to see someone professionally to get the
correct treatment.

Best to check with your family doctor Posted: 03-03-08 15:06pm
Blood is not a good sign !! It is best to
arrange with your physician to have a
colonoscopy, that way that can find out
what is happening inside the colon.
