Alright, after several different trips to the doctor, they still can't figure out what is wrong with my wife. here's whats going on...

Raynauds syndrome primarily in feet
Cronic sleep pattern (15 hours a day or more if possible)
anisocoria
Mood changes (usually angry)
apathy when not angry
poor memory
no attention span
did I mention, usually angry?
several slipped disks in back

She's not even in her 30's yet, and not any way shape or form overweight, and not underweight.

Reciently she had a sleep study but the results are not back yet, we're waiting for a follow up appt.

I can't help but think all these are related in some way shape or form. We're sure she has Idiopathic Hypersomnia, thats a given. But what about the Raynauds and funky pupils, anger, slipped disks and...the anger?

Any ideas would be nice, I'm at a loss with what to do next.

I agree
I have to agree with Mommy35 on this one.......the excessive sleeping and anger....sounds kinda familiar! You sleep so you don't have to deal with reality, and when you are awake, you are so angry with yourself because you feel you've lost control and nothing seems normal. Therefore, you express anger and its not meant toward anyone, its just part of how you are feeling. Have I confused you yet? Hows your wife's diet? Fruits/veges, whole grains, low fat dairy, chicken/fish not fast food junk?I presume there is no exercising/walking for 20 minutes a day could do wonders for her, not to mention the fresh air. Has your wife ever been for a psychologist? I'd suggest find a good mental health doctor, if its just to rule out depression. Keep in touch and good luck to you and you're a good man with a lot of patience.....

I should have mentioned this, Depression has been ruled out by 2 physicians and her. This isn't something new either. We've been together since we were 15 and she's always been a long sleeper. The bitterness is recient though, and I think a lot of it stems from being tired. I'm just wondering if the raynauds/IH/Anger has another diagnosis, or if they're seperate things all together. Yes, I'm very patient btw. in spite of her anger and sleep, she's a wondrful wife, mother and best friend.

Hi
You stated the "depression" had been ruled out by 2 physicans and HER? Were either of these two physicans licensed psychologist or psychiatrist? Has a psychoanalysis ever been performed to RULE OUT that she does not indeed have some sort of mental problem? The constant sleeping, anger, mood swings, and no attention span.......this is neuro related.....all part of depression as well. No doubt in my mind she is a terrific person, wife, mother and friend, otherwise you would not be with her....... I like to describe my troubled life as having too many cars up there and not enough lanes............but with years, YEARS of therapy and finding the right combination of meds, I am proud to say, the anger has turned into wanting to help others....and wanting to make others smile. I don't want to sleep my life away....we can't get that time back. I had so many other the symptoms you have described your wife having and this is why I was asking the questions. You both are young and have a life ahead of you. Hopefully you will find out whats causing her the problems and have a happy life!
