On December 5, 2007 my son was diagnosed with Myoclonic Seizures after an EEG was preformed. In early November my son’s Pediatrician diagnosed him with a “tic”. But that soon changed as his symptoms increased when he would fall down, bite his lip/check and lock his jaw. The doctor prescribed, 125mg capsules at two times a day. Then he kept having them. He switched him to 125mg capsules at four times and day (two in the am and two in the evening). Still till this day my son is having seizures. Yesterday, the doctor increased his medication again to 125mg capsules to five times a day (two in the am and three in the evening). I’m terrified that the risks are higher. The doctor said he wants to increase Depakote before adding ANOTHER medication.

Is anyone on the same boat? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
