Suzy, every doctor has a back up when they are on vacation. Call your doctor's office and ask for the doctor-on-call. Please? You can call 24 hours a day.

You could also call your local hospital and ask to speak with a nurse. They would be able to tell you if you should go to the emergency room or not.

yeah we already called the er and they said its most likely due to the pill and because i just had a baby women expierience heavier longer periods the first time they start again

You need to go in for sure soon. You might be ok until your dr gets back. I totally know how you feel! I had the same thing if you remember from all my posts, from the patch. When NEW mom's go on birth control, they tend to have 1-2 MONTHS of irregular spotting and bleeding.

THIS IS NORMAL. AS long as you are not soaking through more than 2 pads in an hour for 3 hours, you are not 'bleeding out'.

The hormones from her own body are whacky enough, and now the BC is trying to regulate everything.

Well I think many of us are alarmed by the fact that the bleeding does seem heavy.

the nurse said theres really not much they can do anyways

There is nothing an ER can really do..

IF she is losing massive amounts of blood, they will do a transfusion.

Unfortunately, there is not a whole that can be done with uterine bleeding.
