Q: infection or an std ?

I have to use the restroom all the time. it's normally about 1 1/2 - 2 hours but some times i have to go again in as little as 15 minutes! i don't drink a lot. normally about 3-4 drinks a day if not less. Is there anyway that i can tell if it is an infection or if i have an std. I've only ever been with one man and we've had a child so i know there were std's then but i have since found out he cheated on me with a girl that is not so clean. is there anyway to find out before i go to a doctor. because if it is infact an std then i would like to know to make the appointment without my mom knowing.

The only real way to know is to see your doctor, you can tell your mom you think you have an urinary tract infection then talk to the doctor without your mom present about your concerns. There are privacy laws to protect you.
Are under the age of 18? There are some things doctors have to keep between him and the patient.

It's possible you have IC (Interstitial Cystitis) this causes urgency to urinate. You might want to do a search onilne about this.

I'm sorry to hear your boyfriend cheated on you. Is he showing any signs of an STD?
