Q: Hard lump under chin?

My 20 month old toddler has a large hard lump under his chin on the right hand side.
I took him straight to the doctor which wants me to have an ultrasound done (tomorrow).
Does anyone have any idea what it could be? He hasn't been sick (and still isn't) or had any infections.
Also, the lump does not appear to cause discomfort when touched.
A bit worried.

EH im not sure, i remember my dads friends 2 yr old daughter years ago had a similiar thing, i cant remember what it was as she is like 16 yrs old now! But she had to have surgery to remove it and now she is totally fine. hopefully its nothing serious at all and good luck, update us on the drs
