Sometimes when I forget to relax correctly then it hurts, but it goes away soon after. I bet she tenses right before you enter and thats hurting her. What does she say about it? Does the pain stay for the entire time?

no. its only a few minutes in the beginning. i dont see why she should be tense since she usually comes on to me.

its most likly due to the cause that your hitting her cervix
sometimes when penetraion is deep or first occurs you will hit her cervix causeing it to hurt. it can even be bruised

I usually have the same problem when things are just starting. No matter how turned on I am the muscles still need to be stretched some in order for it to feel comfortable. I find that if we start off really slow and gentle it helps. It would probably also help if you fingered her before intercourse using first one finger, then two. That helps to stretch it out and loosen up the muscles.

maybe she needs more lube

sex is never supposed to hurt
ever
or your not doing it right
theres a reason why this is happening though. maybe more lube and going slow will help

Well, when it happens to me I can't help but tense just a little bit, I don't know what it is-- anticipation? I'm turned on and everything I just tense right at the beginning and then when it hurts I remember what I'm doing wrong and I fix it. I'm sure I'll stop that once I'm more used to having sex and whatnot.

Thank God for ehealth, otherwise I'd be doomed for painful sex I'm sure.

If we're having the same problem, yeah. She just needs to recognize the feeling and relax her muscles when she gets that feeling-- its the muscles I would use if I were holding back pee-- if that helps any.

Yeah, I got pain like that right in the beginning too. It's not a ripping pain or a damaging pain; it's just stretching and friction. What I found helped was making sure the PENIS was lubricated, not just the vagina. You can use her natural lube by rubbing the crown of the penis against the vaginal entrance, or go buy some. Dry penis plus wet vagina still equals pain - and trust me, I'm super wet!
