Usually withdrawal symptoms will only last
for 8-12 weeks, but it also depends on how
heavily you are addicted, your
constitution, and your life's situation.
I don't think you should have too many
problems for this long.
You may want to try a detox program at
this point, or look to other circumstances
that may be causing your anxiety....it
could be that it is only coincidental that
you noticed these symptoms of anxiety when
you quit smoking when they are actually
due to other causes.

I totally agree with Mominashoe! I smoked
2 1/2 packs a day for well over 14 years.
I quit January 28 1991.........hardest
thing I've ever done in my life, but I
took control. The anxiety you are feeling
is normal, you do need to try to find
something to do with all this extra energy
you now are having! I crocheted, cross
stitched, worked in the yard, played with
my animals........ If this continues, I'd
see my primary care physican just to rule
out any other possiblities. So proud of
you for kicking the habit............HUGS!

I keep on failing at that...GOOD ON YOU!
I also get anxiety...or rather "hightened"
anxiety in my case when I try to quit.
