Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that That is such a
tough situation to be in. Can you afford
to take time off from work? I am so
sorry; it's terrible when pets go through
hard times. You're in my thoughts.

Thank you for the concern. Yes, I can
afford to take time off or quit....I teach
pre-k Mon-Thurs, at a small private
school, so I was not really in it for the
money anyways, but I do enjoy my job and
hate to leave my class. School is over in
about 2 weeks, and then hubby and I are
going on a cruise.... I do not teach at
the summer program, so when we get back
from vacay I'll have the whole summer off
with him. I'm hoping that maybe we can get
all of this cleared up over the summer,
and I can go back to teaching in the
fall.....if not oh well, it'll give me
more time to finish my Masters. BTW
congrats on Taco's poo!!!

Good luck; I hope things get sorted out.
Keep us updated! Preschool is actually my
career goal too; do you find it rewarding?
I am hoping to start teaching in 3 or 4
years (I'm currently a sophomore in
college and I want to get my masters right
after my BA). Enjoy your summer!

Thank you so much. Yes teaching preschool
is very fun and rewarding. I have been
teaching a k-4 class at a small private
school, for about 3 years now. Its funny
that I wound up in that field because I
actually have my B.S. in History and minor
in Political Science, and currently
working on my Masters in History. I have
been considering a part-time position
(more time with Boudreuax) as an assitant
curator at a local museum, ultimately of
course I would hope to be head curator.
Going into preschool (I'm sure you already
know this) you have to go ahead and
prepare yourself for horrible days, when
you come home screaming "I'll never have
children!' My wonderful hubby has learned
to accept this aspect of my job, thank
god. If you ever have any questions
regarding teaching, or what not, please
let me know! As always I hope the little
Taco is doing well!

My Boudreaux has constant skin problems,
so I feel yours and his pain. Baby oil
would probably not be that great because
it has so much fragrance in it which might
further irratate his skin. The vet has
Boudreaux on prescritions steroids and
creams which, sometimes work and sometimes
don't. Try swiching him to an organic
diet, which can help tremendously. We have
Boudreaux on Nutrol Natural choice for
sensitive skin. My vet also suggested a
drizzle of olive oil on his food, as well
as supplements with omega-3 fatty acids.
At petsmart you can get OTC hydrocortisone
sprays, which may relive some of the
inflamation and itchyness, but if its a
serious problem you might want to call
your doctor and see about a cortisone
injection to speed of the healing process.
Good luck...with everything!

Awe Homer I'm so sorry! I will deffinately
keep him in my prayers. Do you think that
it may be parvo? Sometimes vets will
reccommend giving Pedialyte to pups with
diarrhea, which can help prevent
dehydration and electrolyte embalances.
Please keep us updated.
