When I was 30 years old, I was diagnosed
with PCOS. I am one of the lucky ones - I
have 2 beautiful children. I am now 39,
run 3 miles per day and consume approx.
1400 cal/day. I continue to have
extremely irregular periods = I can miss 2
months and then bleed like crazy for 3
weeks at a time. I have put on 30 pounds
in the last year and I cannot blame my
diet. Both parents have DMII and HTN and
my mom is a survivor of both uterine and
breast CA - so hormones are not an option.
I have failed Glucophage tx twice.
When I bring up a TAHBSO to my GYN, he
rolls his eyes at me. With all my risks
and my family history, wouldn't I be a
perfect candidate for this?
I'm just frustrated and wonder if anyone
else has had this procedure and if it
helped.
I am a health nut and don't want to die
fat, insulin-dependent and hairy. It is
very sad to have to shave every day like
my husband.....

you will need to discuss this with a
health care professionaly
if your OB rolls his eyes then i seriously
would consider switching drs. he works FOR
YOU so YOU tell him what you want to know.
and if he cant help you like you want to
be helped then you can swicth at the drop
of a hat
