Well, positive test are good news.

Do you experience a lot of stress in life or your job? Are you eating enough fibre? Are you sometimes constipated? What foods do you include in your diet?

Have you ever tried a colonic? Colon therapy is great, especially if you think you've got some backed up feces in there. The sessions are a little expensive (between $50-75 in the US), but I always feel I'm walking on air afterwards. And, it's targeted to your area of pain. Plus, people who give colonics generally know a lot about the body, diet, and intestines. Although they are not doctors, I feel they are healers.

A colonic is an infusion of water into the rectum. Another term for colonic is colonic irrigation or colon hydrotherapy. I've actually had it done. It's amazing! I felt so light afterwards, literally like I was getting rid of all my sh--.

Yes, it sounds like diverticulitis which is controlled fairly easily by diet. However, this is the important bit ...NOT everyone responds well to increased fibre in their diet and you could well be one. I don't - in fact I bloat up with too much fibre and the result is agony!

I am right-sided diverticular, which is unusual - the position your describe is far more typical.

The advice I was given by the hospital to keep this under control is to start with a very bland diet for a few days - a little boiled rice, water and that's about it, then gradually introduce new foods but always kind of bland ones. Then, finally, bring in the big fibres and see what happens. I would suggest your reaction might be similar to mind and I know I cannot eat any apples at all as they are a little bit hard on the digestion. So are cucumber and any raw veg. I love raw veg but have been advised to cut that out completely.

So, porridge, rice and bland soups for a few days to see how it goes.

Get back to me, please!

I had something similar
I had similar pain for months... did ultrasounds, MRIs, colonoscopy, etc. Finally I had laproscopy - it was an adhesion on my colon/large intesting that kinked it up. They cleared it and I am feeling better but not 100%. None of this was picked up by any tests or scans.
