With my first pregnancy I got a yeast infection and nothing I did would get rid of it, but it didnt really bother me it wasnt itchy or anything. And now with this pregnancy I have a yeast infection again and I know im going to have it the entire pregnancy but this time it really bothers me. And nothing I do helps. Ive been to the doctors about it but they just tell me to use the creams, but they dont work. Has anyone else experienced this or know anything that might help? I heard eating yogurt can help with yeast infections is this true?

Yes - it is true that eating active yogurts (with real bacteria inside) can reduce the symptoms of a yeast infection. This is b/c yogurt contains healthy bacteria that promote the growth of the healthy intestinal flora. Most people don't know it, but yeast growth actually BEGING in the intestines. What we experience as a vaginal yeast infection is actually a manifestation of this. So, check for an active yogurt.... not just the sugary ones with flavors. Or, you can try acidophilus, which can tend to be expensive, but is like a mega-dose of the bacteria that is found in yogurt. You'll need to use it regularly.

Other helpful and natural alternatives for treating Yeast Infections include Vitamin D tablets and watching your intake of bread (which contains yeast) and other sugar (pastas, rice, etc.) Good luck!
