Ah I hated the patch. They claim its supposed to stay on all week, but mine would not stay on for the life of me. I've never heard anything good about it. Have you thought about the shot, iud or ring? Good luck at your appt.

I had the shot once. I bled for 3 months. Maybe it would be different this time around. I've thought about the ring. Does it hurt to have that done?

I hated the patch at first. My skin broke out, and I got really depressed. I looked it up and those were common side effects. I was so depressed that I didn't think it was worth it to stay on, and was ready to go off it, but it settled down. My body got use to it, the depression went away, and my skin got better than before. After the initial bad reaction to it, it actually kept my skin really clear. I didn't gain weight, which some people do.

After I adjusted to it I really liked it. It was convenient and easy, and I loved having clear skin. I like it better then any other birth control I've been on.

I actually JUSt saw ANOTHER commercial of the patch claiming the lives of women. It's NOW 3 TIMES more likely to cause blood clots/stroke/death than it was a year ago.

I was on the patch after I had Oni. I like it, a lot!!

But, I found if you accidentally put lotion on it, it would fall off...immedietly!!

Tanya, it would leave that ring/rash around me too!!! That's the only part that I didn't like!!

the patch left a red rash on me for weeks. Blood clots are common in women that smoke thats y they try not to prescribe it when they know the person is a smoker.

I had a pap at my 6 wk with macy but had started my period with Liam so I just got BC.

I'm going Wednesday to find out more about the Paragard IUD. I want something that's not going to make my period stop & the Paragard is non hormonal. Only downfall I've read about it is it can make you bleed A LOT. Good luck at your check up!

Yea, I wouldn't suggest it to anyone that smokes!
But, they did NEW research that says even if you DON'T smoke, it causes clots/strokes/death!!!!

And I was realllly wanting to get on the patch after I had this baba!!!

Looks like it's the pill for moi!!

Crap we have to get a pap done?!

God I hate those.

Holly two of my aunts had IUD's... one hated it because it made her cramp REALLY bad, and one loved it because she didn't have any side effects.

I HATE paps. I was so tramatized after Macy the next one I had was with this pregnancy. If youve had one in the last year you can say no ill come back later. Like they wanted to give me one when i was pregnant with Liam and I was like um no I just had one 4 mos ago Ill pass.
