Hello, new to this.

Just wondering if anybody else has suffered from pneaumonia and ended up with kidney problems. Ive had various blood tets and 24hour urine test and variuos urine samples taken .Ive had the swollen legs, sometimes still swell, protein in urine and blood and dull aches around my body. I often get cramps in legs toes and sometimes neck which i have to say is getting me down.

I also feel very tired most of the time and want to sleep as soon as i come home from work. Just had biopsy and waiting for results in next week or so.

Appreciate others experiences of these problems and what the next stage is likely to be.

Thanks

Hello

I had a kidney biopsy 30 years ago. I had a lot of illnesses as a child which in turn added to my kidneys problems.

Have the doctors mentioned anything to you as to what they are looking for?
Did they give you any results of the blood or urine tests?
As for the next stage it all depends on what they find.

Keep us updated.
Best Wishes Smile

BIOPSY RESULT
It turns out i have something called Membranous Nephropathy which i have looked up on the net and can be on going for someyears and that there is no definite outcome that can be forecast.
It is a disease possibly caused by the Immune system which thickens the filtering layer of the Glomeruli which is the filtering units of the kidneys.

Istill have the heavy protein in the urine, and doc has upped the Ramipril tablets to 10mg, i also take 7.5gm Furosemide and 40mg of Altovastatin (lipitor) tablets which helps the cholestral, this disease causing high cholestral.

Anyone else got similair i would like to know.

Many thanks Rolling Eyes

membranous nephropathy
How are you doing with your condition. I was diagnosed one month before you. How has the level of protein in your urine been? How about the swelling. Are you trying to go low sodium? Is your fatigue getting worse?Has your nephrologist put you on any drug that has helped?
