Hi there! I just signed on today. I've been going through my problems for 2 years now. It started out with swelling in my feet and my calves were very hard for 2 days. Went to see and internist and he put me on and antidepressant and vioxx. Vioxx didn't help. Then tried an antiinflammatoryand that made me swell. Now i'm on a water retention pill and that seems to help, but I still do swell. I have good days and bad days. If I do to much physical activity, I suffer terribly. My body aches everywhere and hard to get around. Just recently i've noticed red spots with knots underneath on my legs. I went to see another internist and he gave me an ekg(was abnormal), stress test(normal), abdominal and pevic ultrasound(ok, but cysts and gallstones found) and blood work showed negative on ra factor, negative on ana screen, but my rbc(low) and mcv(high). He has me getting b-12 shots five days in a row, then one in two weeks and then every month. He told me my legs condition is edema(just like the first doctor) and varicous veins. Went to see a vascular doctor and he gave me a doppler(normal), artery scan(normal), circulation(normal) and that I do not have varicous veins. Suggest seeing a rhumatory doctor. In the mean time I suffer everyday with this. If anyone can help with any suggestions. Thanks alot.
