For anyone who has gone through the agony
of having ACNE, I can only rejoice in the
fact that these days there is so much
information on-line to help you. When I
was growing up, there was no information
available, except from MD's advice which
truely was not up to date, accurate etc.
You are what you eat! We've all heard that
one, but what does it mean, and why is
that we are what we eat, and why is we
seem to have no control over what we eat
sometimes. I mean, you eat junk willingly,
and you know it's bad for you. Well,
cravings, addications, urges are really
the source of something going on in your
body. Don't believe me, well you should.
Anyone else find this to be true?

You don't need to buy that book, btw.
Just do a cleanse.
There is a variety of herbs etc. that will
get your colon back in order and detox
your liver etc.
Hemp hearts, consistant use of metamucil
(psyllium) and detoxing teas has done it
for me. Be sure to take acidophilus to
keep the good bugs in you that fight the
bad ones.
Also if you suspect that you have actual
parasites in you get checked out by a
doctor!
I didn't like that site cause it suggested
you don't need to eat right and exercise
to stay thin and be healthy. That's crap.
A healthy organic balanced diet with
regualr exercise is what people need to
stay healthy. And don't eat raw fish at
sketchy restaurants and watch for symptoms
of parasites if you do or travel
overseas.
People should also be aware that the
prescription drugs they take can disturb
your body's natural ability to keep it's
self healthy and try to inform them selves
of natural alternatives. Most Docs don't
bother to inform themselves of natural
therapy and some even devalue it. And drug
companies are a billion dollar industry
without a conscience so don't assume the
drugs you take are completely safe or
won't while making one health issue better
are creating another. It's all about
numbers for the health care industry, not
the individual. If a drug helps more
people than it hurts they doll it out to
the public cause it will make money.
But mean while the percentage of folks who
are actually left worse off from taking a
drug are SOL!!!
Let your Doctor know that you are
interested in alterantives and ask them
flat out if they have done any research on
their own (not tought in med school AT
ALL)
and if the answer is no then do it
yourself. And perhaps pass on the info
with your Doc. But for the record if you
are needing a perscription to improve your
quality of life by all means take it. Do
what feels right to YOU.
