You've gotta be kidding me.
Nobody has any idea what is happening to these people?
Psychiatrists don't know? Nobody knows man?!
what?
Birch says that it's a biological dysfunction of some sort of the brain, well is it?! Can anyone tell me for sure? How do you know that birch? You don't do you?

Well, I guess I already know what it is really, not specifically, but to sum it up it's a bunch of people being tortured.

Everybody agree with that? I have single handidly discovered what schizophrenia is!

Yes, there's definitely torture involved.

I'd agree with Birch.

Unfortunately, no, we don't quite know how to completely cure it. It's really terrible- like cancer- we know a lot about it, but we have no idea the exact cause or how to cure it. Sometimes we can treat it, sometimes we can't.

Hopefully we'll learn more soon.

It certainly is torturous.

Throwing all scientific studies to the wind, woops, and just using logic alone, if it were not a biological disorder medications would have no effect whatsoever. While there is no doubt that environmental factors (such as abuse of drugs) can play a role in the development of schizophrenia there has to be a genetic predispensation to it initially.
