I've had this condition for more than 10yrs already. It would occur whenever I feel too excited or even for no reason at all, eg, when I'm just sitting down. All of a sudden, I would have this feeling of breathing difficulty for a few seconds and I can feel my limbs going weak. It feels though I'm continuing to breathe but my lungs are not getting enough air, it feels suffocating.
Then, I would try to relax and calm myself down. I'll force myself to breathe harder and get in as much air as possible, drinking warm water also helps a bit.
Usually I can recover in about 10-15mins time, it's not a fatal condition just that I would feel a bit uncomfortable.
May I know what I'm suffering from?

Sounds like anxiety disorder. You can have symptoms when you are excited and/or for no reason at all and it can come and go. If you asked some questions about it in the anxiety section, you will probably get some good advice on what to do when you have an "attack" or episode Smile
