Every now and then, Once a month or so, I seem to wake up..but still be asleep, My whole body is pulsing with energy, I feel like I'm sleeping on air almost, And there is this voice telling me to open my eyes, To get up and wake up from this, And i do.

When i wake up i feel like I've been asleep for days on end, And the energy slowly leaves my body and i go back to normal.

Its so odd, I'm asleep but awake at the same time, I just can't open my eyes or move, Can someone please tell me..what is this?

Thank you.

Extremely eHealthy
Do you usually have such a experience shortly after waking up or shortly before falling asleep?
Do you have a feeling that someone is in your room?
Are you frightened at that moments?

It is sleep paralysis - more common than you would think. Google for info on it but basically it is just that the safety mechanism that keeps you from getting up and walking around or harming yourself during sleep does not switch off at the same time as you regain consciousness. You think you 'see' your bedroom but it is in your mind's eye for your eyes are still closed.

As well as sleep paralysis, check out narcolepsy - it is a very interesting topic! As for you, I wouldn't worry - it is perfectly normal.
