Crying or Very sad

I have been having a dull pain in my left armpit for a few months, and aches in my left breast. On occassions, I would feel pain in my right breast. I saw my PCP in November, and she suggested that I cut down on caffiene. I saw my gyn today and described my symptoms, after a breast exam, she though she felt a thickening in both breasts, but a little more in my left. The thickening is between the right and the left breast, and was tender to touch.

I have 2 young children and are worried to death. I go for my mammogram and ultrasound on 1/23. Everything that I have read is pointing toward BC and possible IBC. I don't know what to do!

How old are you?
For how long and how often you are experiencing breast pain?
Are these symptoms more intense during your menstrual cycle?

Waiting for you to share with us your results from tomorrow's examinations.
Best wishes!

Armpit pain and pain with thickening in breast
I have been experiencing these pains for a while off and on. I had my mammogram yesterday, and compared to the one taken in 2006 there has not been any changes. I have recently been taking in evening primrose oil to see if that would help and I have not felt any pain in my left breast. It could actually be horomonal. I am going to try to keep track of my cycle to see any changes.

You'll need to track your breast pain symptom.
Equal discomfort in both breasts is most commonly benign.
New and persistent discomfort in only one breast may be of concern, particularly if it's getting worse, not better.
Have you noticed some changes in appearance of your left breast?
