Just thought I'd share our progress, or lack thereof.. I managed to keep Brayden out of my bed for about 2 weeks but last night he ended up sleeping with me by about 4 in the morning. Its just not working out. All we have managed to do is make him terrified of his room. Whenever we go in there and the lights are off he throws a fit and if the lights are on he just gets really clingy because he thinks I"m going to lay him down.. ugh. I'm thinking about moving his crib into my room..I dunno, I have no idea what to do. Nothing is working and I"m getting really frustrated.

im sorry, i wont pretend to know how that is because val sleeps pretty well (she makes it clear she would rather sleep with me but she will sleep in her room too)

if you think moving the crib will help do it, once he gets use to the crib maybe he will be more receptive to being in another room in his crib

good luck

His crib was in my room for his first 5 months and he still slept horribly then.. At the time I thought he needed his own room to help with his sleeping so we moved him into the nursery and all thaht did was prove that nothing will help. My only thought is that if his crib is in my room, I can take off the front rail and sandwich it between the wall and my bed (so there is no gap and he can't fall off) and then maybe atleast he'll think he is sleeping in my bed and my boyfriend will finally be able to sleep in the bed again instead of on the floor! I feel so bad but I've been making him sleep on the floor when brayden is in my bed because he sleeps very heavily and could easily roll over on him.. but it makes it hard because I can't always go to bed at the smae time as him and such and I wake up SUPER early for school and work so being in the same room doesn't really allow me anywhere to get ready in the mornings.

Maybe he'll be like Oni and sleep wonderfully once he gets in a toddler bed (I'm pretty sure Sarah was the one that said she slept good in her toddle bed, sorry if I'm wrong!) But unfortunately he is still a bit to little for that..

Everyone I know has these kids that just roll over and go to sleep when they are put down or their kids even walk over to their cribs when they are ready for bed.. not my son. Why can't he just sleep!!

I'm going to ask the dr about it when we go next month but I really don't think she'll be able to help much. We'll see. I just want to make sure he is getting enough sleep and the rest that he needs.
