For the last 2 days I have had a sharp pain on my right side under my ribcage every time I move, cough, sneeze, breath etc. I then started gettin an intense pain in my right shoulder which also spread to my neck and top part of my arm and I have been feeling sick constantly. I was in so much pain last night I couldn't sleep, every little movement was agony, so much so that I cried. The pain since eased off a little bit and then became very painful again in a short space of time. I decided to go to see my GP today to see what they thought it was, she asked if I had a cold, cough recently to which I replied no. She then proceeded to ask if I had been exercising or doing anything out of the ordinary to which I also replied no. I told her that 2 nights ago I woke up in the middle of the night to bad pain in my right side when I moved and that now my right shoulder, neck hurt constantly. She poked me on my right side to check where it hurt, completely ignored my comments about pain in my shoulder and said I have muscle inflammation frow exercise or something. She said it was nothing, gave me anti inflammatory pills and sent me on my way. Now I'm home, it's 10 hours later, the pain is worse and has now moved to my lower back too and the pills make me feel worse. I don't know what to do, I feel there is something much more wrong then muscle pain going on, it doesn't feel like muscle pain. I don't know what to do and I'm worried because a relative told me they had my exact symptoms previously and found out they had gallbladder disease. The worst part is she initially told me to just take ibuprofen to which I replied I had been and they had no effect and that is the only reason she even gave me pills of any kind. I feel like I'm being constantly fobbed off by my GP. What could the pain be? Is there any chance it is more than muscle pain?
