It's true. I left Nick. Finally. I'm at my dad's right now, and I can't stay here for more than a couple of days, but I'm still figuring things out.

I have been looking at apartments. Mostly just studio apartments, but it's better than nothing. The thing is I can't go home because Nick won't leave (both of our names are on the lease).

I just need to figure out how I'm going to raise the money for rent. There are [very] limited jobs in Ellsworth, so I don't think I can get an apartment close to family, unfortunately.

Ugh. Well this time I am sticking with my decision. He cried and cried and said everything would be okay, but I'm really losing it.

Good luck Katie. You should join a young parents support group, maybe that way you can find another single mommy to be share an apartment with? That might help with affordability.

I'm proud of you for leaving Nick.

Nick said he called another counselor and left a message so he could get help and I said good for him, and I will support him but only from a distance. I have a feeling he is doing this out of desparation. I told him to get help, and then we can talk.

I will definitely look into that. I'm looking at places in Bangor now, but they're all out of my price range alone. I'm going to find someone to move in with me.

Good luck with everything. You're doing what's best for you and the baby, and in the end probably Nick too. He had no reason to get help if he had nothing to lose.

(4:19:47 PM): i just called acadia again and the woman should be getting back to me today or tomorrow. im also going to call and see if i can be represcribed my bipolar meds from my doctor

he just said that to me. (acadia is a mental health hospital in bangor, by the way).

maybe he is finally realizing he needs to get his head out of his a** and do something for himself. i'm still not going home, though. not until he really proves himself. as far as i'm concerned, there is a BIG difference between "going to" and actually doing something.

Your right. See, right now he sees that he is losing you and that you will not put up with it (same thing I explained to you about my ex). Maybe now he will change. Just do like you said and keep your distance but be there for him at the same time.

Wow, so Nick wasn't replying to me for a while after I asked if he was doing this for himself and not just me. Come to find out he was on the phone with Acadia and he has an appointment at 1:30 tomorrow.

(4:32:33 PM): im sick of being like this
(4:32:36 PM): i want me back
(4:32:46 PM): i dont want to be angry anymore
(4:33:06 PM): there is no need for it

well it looks like he is off to a good start. i'm interested to see how things go.
