How frequent should one go to a spa or to
pamper oneself with a manicure or
pedicure, cut the hair etc?

As often as you want girlfriend!
If it was up to me id go every week for a
manicure and pedicure.. but of course it
would burn a serious hole in my pocket
i go to the hairdressers every 4-6 weeks
for a haircut and colour
pedicure.. once every few months, but i
usually do it myself at home
and manicure i used to get them done every
2 weeks when i had fake acrylic nails...
but now i do it myself at home

Thanks Neek for replying my post the thing
is I just had a manicure and pedicure few
hours ago, I never have any before in my
life but a few months ago I just started
going to spa, manicure and pedicure. The
thing is I don't want to go too often
because as you said it will burn a hole in
the pocket. But it's kinda great to have
someone 'pamper' you kinda of feeling
previously I thought that having a
manicure and pedicure is only to beautify
one's nail but now I know it actually for
hygenic purposes. Besides I think I am
hooked will it be a permanant habit or
otherwise?

I had my haircut again this afternoon but
toward the end of the service the
hairdrstylist was quiock to point to me
that there is a spot that is having a
lesser hair, he then blamed it on the
previous hair stylist (I had it cut a very
days before but I was satisfy with it).
Arghhhhhh! I hate it. I don't know who to
blame.

I've actually never had any of it done
before. I've never had a
manicure/pedicure, I've never been to a
spa, and I just get my hair cut at like
ten dollar places every couple of months.
I kind of wish I did treat myself every
now and then.

you know i dont do this near enough. I
should go for a massage once a month or so
but i really think that it depends on the
stress level. if you need to relax more
often go for it. I think that you should
be pampered as much as possiblem. I only
get my hair cut once every 3 months or
so--that is when i can find the time. Im
usually too busy--but i should make time
for it

Thanks the_girlfriend, I thought about
that too and as what Neek said the other
day 'it will burn a hole in my pocket'.
The other day I went back to have my
pedicure done only after 4 days, the lady
there asked me why? So I said it was
because my feet are sore from wearing a
new shoe, she had the rough skin 'shaved'
the amount of the dead skin was so much
that she and I was shocked! Anyway she
told me not to come so soon about 3 weeks
to a month for a pedicure. Thanks hun,
you've always been so kind.

pampering

 I am a licensed
cosmotologist. A great way to save and
still get your pampering in is to go to
the beauty school in your area. It is
somewhat less expensive and you would
enjoy it as much as going to a shop.
Usually the students are very attentive
and they have instructors who supervise,
and give student credit for work done. If
you are not satisfied with work done by a
student or for that matter a professional,
just tell them and they will usually work
to fix the problem. AT the school an
instructor will usually step in to help if
student is experiencing difficulty. I
recommend pampering at home as well as by
the professionals. Read up on beauty
treatments and watch the person giving
them to you and try it at home. Do not
allow someone to shave your feet with a
blade that is illegal and dangerous. Using
a pumice type device is ok. Use a scrub on
your feet at home and slather with lotion
or vaseline, stick your feet in some socks
overnight, you will be amazed at how soft
your feet will be. Have fun

Thanks maryprelle I did know about shaving
the feet is illegal. Here it is used with
a tool and for medical reason my mother
and mother in law who have corn on their
feet have that then too that by a medical
profession. Thanks for the tip about going
to the beauty school. One of my friend had
her hair done there to she didn't pay
anything, it's a great way to save to
thanks again. I guess the next time she's
going there I'll tag along.

It depends on what your trying to maintain
I guess. I have a mani/pedi every other
week, hair cut every 6 weeks, highlights
every 3-4 months, bikini wax every 3-4
weeks, and a massage and facial once a
month.

I don't get haircuts as often as I should.
God, I love getting my hair washed for
me... Mmm. I think the recommendation is
once every three months or so...lol I
never get them that often. Maybe two a
year!!!
Pedicures and manicures are great too XD
But some people have very sensitive feet
and can't deal with pedis. My mom is one
of them. It is TORTURE to her!!
By the way, that's me in my new icon!!!
